General description

Nicotinamide (Niacinamide), belonging to the class of water-soluble B vitamins, is typically produced from nicotinic acid (vitamin B3). It is found as a component of food products. It has been suggested for the treatment of pellagra, psoriasis, schizophrenia, and type I diabetes. It also exhibits anti-inflammatory activity.

Application

Nicotinamide (Niacinamide) may be used as a reference standard for the determination of the analyte in pharmaceutical formulations and biological fluids by chromatography, UV-visible spectrophotometry and multivariate analysis.
Refer to the product′s Certificate of Analysis for more information on a suitable instrument technique. Contact Technical Service for further support.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Nicotinamide is an amide derivative of vitamin B3 and a PARP inhibitor
