General description

Oxydemeton-methyl is an organophosphorus pesticide primarily used for the control of pests in a wide variety of crops. Its mode of action involves the inhibition of cholinesterase enzyme activity.

Application

Oxydemeton-methyl may be used as a reference standard for the determination of oxydemeton-methyl in aqueous samples by direct injection using liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry.
