Biochem/physiol Actions

Phalloidin is a cyclic peptide derived from Amanita phalloides. It is a filamentous-actin (F-actin) binding reagent. Phalloidin interacts with F-actin and blocks filament depolymerization. It is used for studying actin filament assembly.
Toxin that binds polymeric F actin, stabilizing it and interfering with the function of actin-rich structures.
