General description

The SSSCA1 (Sjoegren syndrome/scleroderma autoantigen 1) gene codes for a cell cycle inhibitor, also called as p27. The SSSCA1 gene is mapped to human chromosome 11q13.1.
The antibody pair provided in this kit recognizes human SSSCA1.

application

For research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
Please refer to the attached General ELISA KIT Procedure (sandwich, competitive & Indirect ELISA)

Biochem/physiol Actions

Sjoegren Syndrome Autoantigen 1 is an important cyclin-dependent kinase complexes inhibitor and prevents the G1 to S phase transition during cell cycle. It is regulated by ubiquitin-proteasome. The Sjoegren Syndrome Autoantigen 1 gene expression is downregulated in cancer and indicates poor prognosis.
