Application

4-Methylumbelliferyl β-D-lactopyranoside has been used as a chromophoric substrate for cellobiohydrolase I (CBHI) in T. reesei.[1] It has also been used as a substrate for cellobiohydrolase I (Cel7A), endoglucanase I (Cel7B) and β-glucosidase from fermented samples in enzymatic assay.[2][3]

Biochem/physiol Actions

4-Methylumbelliferyl β-D-lactopyranoside is a fluorescence compound hydrolyzed by the enzyme β-glucosidase (βG) and CBH1 [1]
