Application

Cesium chloride has been used in the generation of discontinuous gradient for the purification of Cryptosporidium oocysts[1] and as a component of acetamide medium for fungal selection.[2]
Used for the preparation of electrically conducting glasses.Used to make solutions for the separation of RNA from DNA by density gradient centrifugation.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Cesium chloride regimen results in controlling cancer cell growth by targeting alkalinization of the neoplastic cells.[3] It elicits potassium-blocking and is used animal cardiovascular research.[4]
