General description

Biphenyl-3,3′,5,5′-tetracarboxylic acid (H4BPTC) is a carboxylic ligand material, which has multiple co-ordinated sites, and the carboxyl groups lie in the position of 120° that extend in all the directions. It has a luminescent property with an emission band maximum at 405 nm.[1][2]

Application

Biphenyl-3,3′,5,5′-tetracarboxylic acid is used for fabricating CPF-1,Cu2(bptc)(H2O)2,MOF-501,MOF-502,MOF-505, NOTT-100, NOTT-400, NOTT-401, SNU-M11,SNU-M10 a highly symmetrical chiral Mg-based metal organic framework (MOF) with nanotubular channels. These are used for selective gas adsorption.[3][4][5][6][7]
